About Seth Roberts

Hub city vintage is owned and operated by Seth Roberts, his wife, Caitlin, and their son, Sutton. Seth has worked in the industry for nearly two decades, and has completed training programs offered by several leading brands. When asked why vintage and antique watches were favored over more contemporary pieces, he replied,

"...There's nothing like coming face to face with an automatic watch, stored away for decades in some dark drawer or box, that comes to life the moment its disturbed. Like Kintaro Hattori, the founder of Seiko, I believe that 'the wristwatch is an intimate accessory. The best watches live in harmony and interact with the wearer, and their functions offer a reassuring and emotionally satisfying bond.'

We spend more time than I'd like to admit, out looking for truly unique and well preserved pieces of horlogical history to bring to those who share that sentiment. We understand that it has nothing to do with knowing the time, and everything to do with enjoying the instrument that makes time visible to us; that connects us to it. The best watchmakers understood this concept. They designed robust timepieces with classic styling that were built to last and transcend generations, when properly cared for."
