1971 Seiko 6139-8020 Automatic Chronograph

1971 Seiko 6139-8020 Automatic Chronograph

Bringing new meaning to the term "wrist candy," this 6139 from May of '71 is a tasty vintage chronograph with a minty chocolate dial and caramel brown sub register. The hands and markers offer great contrast in bright white, and complement the segmented minute track. Rounding out the layout are the rich yellow chronograph hands that truly pop against the earth tones of the dial. The chunky case has a solid 70's vibe with rolled hooded lugs and a sweeping east to west brush finish across the top. At 40mm, it has considerable presence and great casual appeal. In keeping with the laid back aesthetic, we've paired it with a two-piece navy blue NATO that ties in nicely with the color scheme, and makes it a perfect companion to the approaching Fall weather.
